In a post shared on X, the comedian described social media as a “social court of injustice” that often favours whoever speaks first, with users rushing to conclusions before hearing the other side of a story.
“The social media court of injustice has always favoured the first-served narrative, often rushing to immediate judgment before the other side is even heard,” he wrote.
AY said he was encouraged by what he described as a growing awareness among social media users that every situation has different perspectives.
“I look forward to the day when social media fully embraces one simple truth: there are always two sides to every story,” he added.
He noted that recent trends online suggest that people may be gradually becoming more cautious about accepting one-sided narratives without seeking further context.
“Interestingly, with some of the recent trends online, it feels like we’re gradually getting there,” he stated.
